The existing Queenslander was retained and restored, with a contemporary extension added to the rear to accommodate new open-plan living, kitchen and dining spaces. The extension connects directly to an outdoor deck and pool.

Original character elements - timber VJ walls, arched hallway details and wide-plank floors were preserved throughout the original structure. New additions are finished in white weatherboard and dark steel, maintaining a clear distinction between existing and new fabric.

Marble benchtops and splashbacks run through the kitchen and bathrooms. Timber cabinetry and joinery provide warmth against the white palette throughout.
